Construction Partners Selected
On February 25th, the Provincial Government and Vancouver Coastal Health announced the selection of Graham Design Builders LP and HDR Architecture Associates, Inc. as construction partners for the Richmond Hospital redevelopment project.
The scope of the project remains the same:
• Nine-floor acute care tower
• New Emergency Department with a satellite medical imaging centre
• The Greczmiel Family Surgical Centre with universal and
additional operating rooms and same-day procedure rooms,
together with increased pre- and post-surgical care spaces
• A fully-equipped, Milan & Maureen Ilich Medical Imaging Centre
• A net increase of 113 beds in the overall project
Project Timeline
2026: Construction on Yurkovich Family Pavilion begins
2029: Construction expected to be completed
2030: Yurkovich Family Pavilion opens to patients
