NEW Yurkovich Family Pavilion
The new acute care tower for Richmond Hospital is expected to open in 2028!
Launching a New Era of Health Care in Richmond
The new nine-floor Yurkovich Family Pavilion will provide enhanced and increased health care services for Richmond’s growing population including an expanded emergency department, all single-occupancy patient rooms with bathrooms, 216 in-patient beds, new surgical centre, and a fully equipped medical imaging centre, to name a few. The new facility will be earthquake safe, constructed above the flood plain, and 100% carbon neutral.
Within the existing hospital facility, major changes are in progress such as the relocation of the Cancer Care Clinic, Psychiatric Emergency Unit, and academic spaces to make way for the demolition and construction of the new acute care tower.
