TONY LAU INSURANCE AGENCIES & GORE MUTUAL DONATE $20,000 TO SUPPORT RICHMOND HOSPITAL
Long-time Richmond Hospital supporter, Tony Lau, has generously donated $10,000 to the hospital’s Medical Imaging Centre campaign to match a gift dollar for dollar from Gore Mutual Foundation, the charitable arm of Gore Mutual Insurance Company (Gore Mutual). Doing business together for over 30 years, Tony Lau Insurance Agencies Ltd. and Gore Mutual’s joint effort demonstrates their commitment to giving back for the health of their community.
“Richmond Hospital plays a very important role in maintaining the health of our growing community,” says Tony Lau, a local business owner, who founded Tony Lau Insurance Agencies Ltd. 40 years ago. “Many of my customers and staff live in Richmond, and they count on the hospital. I invite everyone to give something back to support health care in our community.”
The brand new Medical Imaging Centre will be in the future Yurkovich Family Pavilion, which will also be home to inpatient beds and an expanded surgical suite. The Medical Imaging Centre will be built to accommodate more than 200,000 visits per year, compared to just over 125,000 visits today.
