In support of Person and Family Centred Care in the in-patient acute mental health unit at Richmond Hospital, TD Bank Group (TD) has donated $10,000 to Richmond Hospital Foundation’s Mental Health campaign.
“No one should ever have to feel ashamed of living with a mental illness and we applaud Richmond Hospital Foundation for helping create a space where patients can seek urgent mental health support with respect and dignity,” said Tony Mauro, District Vice President, Richmond, South Vancouver, and South Delta, TD. “TD is proud to contribute to Richmond Hospital Foundation for its ongoing work in serving the community and driving better health outcomes for all.”
TD has been a loyal supporter of Richmond Hospital Foundation for the past two decades.
“TD is known as a forward-thinking and purpose-driven organization. Their commitment to enriching the lives of the Richmond community is further demonstrated with their recent gift of $10,000 towards our Mental Health campaign,” says Natalie Meixner, President and CEO, Richmond Hospital Foundation. “We are so fortunate to be the beneficiary of their generosity which will help build welcoming and transformative spaces that support Person and Family Centred Care in the in-patient acute mental health unit at Richmond Hospital.”
TD also supports the foundation’s annual fundraising initiatives through both sponsorship and financial donations, as well as volunteering. In recognition of the bank’s many contributions over the years, TD has recently been awarded Richmond Hospital Foundation’s Doctor of Philanthropy Award, a distinction honouring donors who have contributed more than $50,000 to improving health care at Richmond Hospital and in the community.
