Hunan Fellow Association of Vancouver Donates Over $20,000 to Richmond Hospital’s Future Medical Imaging Centre
Driven by its passion for helping others, the Hunan Fellow Association of Vancouver held a fundraising dinner this past April that raised over $20,000 for Richmond Hospital’s future Medical Imaging Centre. Community support for the new Medical Imaging Centre will help ensure that Richmond Hospital doctors and staff have access to the newest imaging technologies to provide diagnoses for more patients.
The new Medical Imaging Centre will be at the heart of the future Yurkovich Family Pavilion, the new acute care tower which will be home to an increased number of inpatient beds and an expanded surgical centre. The Medical Imaging Centre will be built to accommodate more than 200,000 visits per year, compared to just over 115,000 visits today.
“Consider making a gift towards the new Medical Imaging Centre at Richmond Hospital,” says Coco Luo, President of the Hunan Fellow Association. “Doctors rely on medical imaging to assess their patients. With community support, we can give them access to the most advanced imaging technologies to provide everyone in the community with the best possible care.”
The Vancouver Hunan Fellow Association is a non-political, non-profit social organization that seeks to unite and help members who have ties to Hunan and Vancouver. In 2020, the association raised over $20,000 for Richmond Hospital’s COVID-19 Response Fund.
