COMMUNITY PARTNERS DOUBLE THE IMPACT FOR RICHMOND HOSPITAL FOUNDATION’S MENTAL HEALTH CAMPAIGN

King’s Auto Group drove a successful double-the-impact fundraising campaign matching $10,000 for Richmond Hospital Foundation’s Mental Health Campaign. “Mental health issues affect individuals, families, and communities,” says Patrick Lee, co-owner of King’s Auto Group. “It’s important to have access to resources and programs for those who need it. Through our recent matching campaign, we were able to raise funds to support the in-patient acute mental health unit at Richmond Hospital and help inspire generosity and community togetherness. We know every drop in the bucket helps, and by empowering our clients, friends, and family to join us, we can collectively make a difference.”

In addition to Patrick Lee at King’s Auto Group, a big-hearted real estate professional who wants to give back and support Richmond Hospital Foundation’s Mental Health Campaign is Garrett Wong. Having observed friends and family struggling with mental well-being especially depression and its consequences, Garrett feels strongly about mental health care in the community.

“Mental health challenges are complex issues that require specialized care,” says Garrett Wong. “The first step towards healing is an accepting and comforting environment. Richmond Hospital’s in-patient acute mental health unit will be a space that enables open dialogue and understanding.”

“We are proud to have a strong community of care thanks to community partners like King’s Auto Group and Garrett Wong Personal Real Estate Corporation. Their dedication towards mental health and health care in Richmond will inspire a stronger and healthier community,” says Candace Hernandez, Vice President of Richmond Hospital Foundation. “Richmond Hospital’s newly-renovated in-patient acute mental health unit will enhance the impact of Person and Family Centred care that our health care teams provide in a warm and respectful environment.”

For the month of December, Garrett Wong Personal Real Estate Corporation is doubling the impact and matching all donations made towards Richmond Hospital Foundation’s Mental Health Campaign up to $20,000.
