Because of caring and generous donors Richmond Hospital now has new operating suites for Minimally Invasive Surgeries (MIS), advanced MRI and CT scanners in our new Milan and Maureen Ilich Medical Imaging Centre, and renewal of our Emergency Department on the horizon.

The Foundation needs your commitment to fund operating equipment for surgeries that cannot be performed until we are able to provide new and additional pieces of operating equipment.

Now more than ever our OR needs your help to maximize the potential of its new operating facilities and to save more lives with funding towards helping our surgeons save lives with small minimally invasive surgical equipment, estimated at $1.5 million.

MIS equipment is made up of:

• Specialized techniques

• Tiny video technology on telescope-like instruments

• Small fiber-optic flashlights

• High definition monitors

All of this sophisticated technology results in big benefits for more patients:

• Faster recovery times

• More accurate diagnoses for better treatment

• Less invasive care
