Thank you to all of our donors, sponsors and volunteers for supporting the Richmond Hospital Foundation’s Community Cares Month. More than $380,000 (net) was donated in September, helping to ensure the very best local health care in Richmond. Richmond Hospital Foundation’s Community Cares Month was a month-long series of events and promotions in September in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, uniting members of our diverse community for a common cause – to donate to improve patient care at Richmond Hospital.
Your donations have a huge impact. Thanks to some of the donations made:
• Mental Health and Substance Use Services will be able to develop education tools and resources and further embed a Patient and Family Centred Care model into the practice of every mental health and substance use team in Richmond.
• Vital patient care programs including Palliative Care, Mental Health, the Transitional Care Unit and residential care will be able to offer patients and residents additional hours of Music Therapy.
• Richmond Integrated Palliative Program will be able to implement plans to engage the community to enhance its model of end of life care to more effectively meet the needs of the Richmond community.
