The Auxilary has over 400 friendly volunteer members who provide comfort, company and information to patients and their families. Over 160 volunteers work in emergency alone. Here are some examples of what the auxilary does:

• Operates the hospital gift shop, the thrift shop in Steveston and the tuck shop in Minrou Residence

• Provides a wayfinding service within the hospital

• One-on-one time with patients (chatting, reading, walking)
